It’s that time of the year again already, the group 100 Women Who Care, Greater John Chapter is ready to give away another big cheque to a charitable organization.
Between 5:30 and 6:30 Tuesday evening at Lily Lake Pavillion they will hear pitches from three groups and then choose who is the winner of this quarters donation, which could be close to $24,000.
They will also hear how the first quarter’s winner, Saint John the Baptist/King Edward School Lunch Program, utilized its more than $23,000.
To date, the funds raised for 24 local charities has now hit $575,085.
Each quarter the members of the chapter, now up to 250, will donate $100 for the winning pitch.
