A snowmobile crash in Caledonia Mountain has left a man dead.

RCMP say it appears the driver veered off the trail on Saturday night and collided with a tree.

A 68-year-old man from Hillsborough died at the scene.

Members of Ambulance New Brunswick, the Alma, and Riverside Albert Fire Departments attended the scene.

A Forensic Collision Analysis Team and a member of the New Brunswick Coroner’s Office are assisting with the investigation.

An autopsy will be conducted to determine the man’s exact cause of death.
