N.B. RCMP suspect foul play in missing woman’s death

The RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating after a missing woman was found dead in Charlotte County.

On Tuesday, the St. George RCMP detachment received a report that a 26-year-old Musquash woman was missing.

On Thursday, the Major Crime Unit took over the investigation. The woman’s vehicle was located that afternoon in Maces Bay. Her body was found with the assistance of Police Dog Services.

Police believe criminality to be a factor in the woman’s death. An autopsy has been scheduled to determine her exact cause of death.

Anyone who has information that could help further the investigation is asked to contact the RCMP Major Crime Unit at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267).

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), by downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips at www.crimenb.ca.
