Woman killed in deer collision in Maple Ridge, N.B.

A 43-year-old woman from Millville is dead after a collision involving a deer and two vehicles.

RCMP say the crash happened Thursday morning on Route 605 in Maple Ridge.

It’s believed a southbound car on Route 605 struck the animal, and it flew onto a vehicle travelling in the other direction.

The female driver of the northbound vehicle was killed.

The other driver wasn’t hurt.

Members of the Nackawic and Keswick RCMP, Millville Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the scene.

An autopsy has been scheduled to determine the woman’s exact cause of death.
