Opportunities NB releasing a statement on the 245 S&P Data layoffs impacting Saint John and Edmundston.
They were disappointed to hear this news and are thinking about the employees, their families and the communities.
ONB gave S&P Data $584,000 of the more than $5.3 million they committed to in two agreements.
That payment includes an upfront contribution of $450,000 after S&P Data met the requirements such as signing a long-term lease and employing more than 200 people.
ONB paid out $134,000 on the Saint John payroll rebate for 2018.
As of Friday, no funds have been spent through the Northern New Brunswick Economic Development and Innovation Fund.
