City police officers raising $14,000 for Cops for Cancer in a head-shaving event at Brunswick Square.
14 police officers got their head shaved including Chief Bill Reid who accepted a last minute challenge.
Sgt. Jim Fleming tells CHSJ News for some officers getting your head shaved is not a big sacrifice.
He says he had to let his hair grow a bit for this event and took some ribbing for that and it shows that they are in touch with what is happening in the community.
Fleming says he took part in another event like this back in 1998.
