It’s been finalized: the 1880s brick buildings near the corner of Prince William and Duke Streets are going to be demolished starting in the first week of September and gone by October.
Common Councillor Gerry Lowe pointed out the hazardous building has been a bad thing for the Steamer’s patio down below on Water Street, with part of the area roped off.
The city’s Jaqueline Hamilton-Barry says the timeline they’re chosen is linked with the ongoing refurbishment of Prince William Street.
The lot will be grassed over after the demolition is complete.
