18-year-old in intensive care after alleged group assault

An 18-year-old is in intensive care after being assaulted by several people in northern New Brunswick, according to police.

Mounties say the incident happened at an event in Tremblay, near Bathurst, early last Wednesday.

The victim was taken to the hospital with what police describe as serious injuries.

“No one has come forward yet, however, we know there were approximately 200 young people at the event in Tremblay,” Sgt. Jean-Francois Dulac said in a news release.

“Someone knows what happened. If you have information regarding this incident, please get in touch with us.”
