Holiday Drinks The Whole Family Can Enjoy

The holiday season and Xmas mean different things for different people but the one thing a lot of us have in common is getting together with family and friends at holiday parties or a big family Xmas dinner. Unfortunately this year is going to be a lot different. The get together this year my mean zooming and face time which will be a uge blessing for many of us. Yes your Xmas dinner my just include your household bubble but from what i have seen and heard people are getting ready to enjoy Xmas whatever the situation. A good indication of this is the shortage of real Xmas trees and holiday decorations flying off the shelves.
To help celebrate I did the scrolling for you and found some holiday drinks the whole family can enjoy. Fun to make they taste great and the kids will love having a Xmas cocktail like the big people.
First up is the Grinch punch. Just imagine how much the kids ( and you to) will love sipping some Grinch Punch while watching “The Grinch Who Stole Xmas

Grinch Punch:

Ingredients

2 .13oz packets Unsweetened Lemon-Lime Kool-Aid
2 Cups Sugar
1 12oz Can Pineapple Juice
1 12oz Frozen Lemonade Concentrate, thawed
1/2 liter of Sprite
Ice
Red Sanding Sugar for Glass Trim

Instructions
Pour 2 quarts of water in a 1 gallon pitcher.
Add the Kool-aid mix and sugar and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
Add the pineapple juice and lemonade and stir well.
To top the rim of a glass, dip the top in water then dip into the sanding sugar.
Just before serving, add the Sprite and ice.
Serve and Enjoy!

Shirley Temple

(The original booze free cocktail)

1 (12 ounce) bottle Grenadine
Ice
1 (2 Liter) bottle lemon-lime soda
Maraschino cherries for garnish, optional

Instructions
Pour 1 ounce Grenadine over ice in a glass. Top with 8 ounces lemon-lime soda. Garnish with maraschino cherries if desired.

Eggnog Hot Chocolate

Ingredients
4 cups light Eggnog
1-3/4 cup white chocolate chips
Whip Cream for topping
Sprinkles
Snowman Peeps

Instructions
Combine eggnog & chocolate chips in saucepan & heat to a simmer.
Don’t allow to boil but make sure all the chocolate chips have melted & are combined with the eggnog.
Ladle into mugs & top with whip cream sprinkles & marshmallows

GINGER CINNAMON APPLE CIDER MOCKTAIL

(This one will take a little work but worth it)

INGREDIENTS

GINGER-CINNAMON SIMPLE SYRUP (MAKES EXTRA):
1 cup sugar
1 cup water
2 cinnamon sticks
~1-2 inches of ginger root, peeled and thinly sliced

FOR ONE FAKE-TINI:

2 tablespoons of Ginger-Cinnamon Simple Syrup
1 cup apple cider
ice for mixing
cinnamon sugar for rimming the glass
apple slice or cinnamon stick to garnish (optional)

INSTRUCTIONS

FOR THE SYRUP
Mix sugar, water, cinnamon sticks, and sliced ginger rooti n a small saucepan over medium heat. Heat until sugar is dissolved.
Let cool completely and strain to remove ginger and cinnamon.

FOR THE FAKE-TINI
Prepare martini glass by wetting the rim with apple cider and then dipping in cinnamon-sugar.
Add ice to martini shaker. Pour in cider and simple syrup. Shake and pour into prepared glass. Garnish with apple slice or cinnamon stick
