Housing sales in the Saint John area rose by 14 per cent in 2016.
Dave Cochrane of Remax Professionals says there were increases in all parts of the city including by 38 per cent in Millidgeville. Sales from the area of East Riverside in Rothesay to the Marr Road rose by 38 per cent.
The average price of a home in the Saint John rose by 3 per cent last year to almost 181 thousand dollars.
Cochrane does say home sales in the 120 to 140 thousand dollar price range were down.
