Former Saint John Councillor Mel Vincent Has Passed Away

Sad news today, a man who was the longest serving councillor in the history of the city of Saint John has died at the age of 77.

Mel Vincent was a member of the PC party of New Brunswick, and retired from the Provincial Fire Marshall’s office in 1997. He served on Common Council for 30 years.

Visitation for Mel Vincent will be at Brenan’s Funeral Home Saturday from 6 pm to 8 pm and Sunday from 2 pm to 8 pm.

The funeral is Monday at 12 noon at Glenview United Church in Saint John.
