UPDATE: Two Hospitalized After Vehicle Found In Brook

Police say two people have been taken to the hospital after their vehicle was found in a brook in east Saint John.

Spokesperson Jim Hennessy said emergency crews were called to the scene on Majors Brook Drive just before 10 a.m. Saturday.

“Two people were removed from the vehicle and have been rushed to hospital. No update on their condition,” said Hennessy in an email early Saturday afternoon.

At least four police vehicles could be seen along Majors Brook Drive shortly after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Several orange pylons were visible in the road and on the sidewalk.

Traffic was diverted into the parking lots of nearby businesses.

Police say they are still trying to determine what happened.
