Charges Expected After Police Locate Alleged Hit-And-Run Vehicle

Saint John police say they’ve found the vehicle believed to have been involved in an early-morning hit-and-run with a cyclist.

Police responded to the collision in the area of Crown and Broad streets around 7:45 a.m. Friday.

The vehicle was found by an officer just before 2 a.m. on Saturday. Police have now identified the driver and say charges are expected to be laid.

Spokesperson Jim Hennessy says a 62-year-old man remains in the intensive care unit after the collision.

The force’s Major Crime Unit is handling the investigation.
