NB Liquor, Cannabis NB still working to fully restore systems

It could be later this week before systems at NB Liquor and Cannabis NB are fully back online.

Operations were shut down last week after a “potential cyber threat” was identified late Tuesday.

NB Liquor was forced to close all of its corporate stores for much of the day on Wednesday and Thursday.

Stores have since reopened but NB Liquor and Cannabis NB are still unable to accept debit, credit or gift cards.

Lori Stickles, CEO of NB Liquor and Cannabis NB, said they are gradually restoring systems so normal operations can resume as quickly as possible.

“Our technical team is working around the clock to restore all our processes and daily operations,” Stickles said in a statement late Monday.

“It is not simply a matter of turning the systems back on but rather restoring the systems in a sequence and order that makes sense to the business and minimizes disruption to our customers and partners.”

Stickles added they expect the full recovery of their systems to take “well into this week.”
