New Funding Program To Support NB Festivals And Events

One of a kind events in New Brunswick can apply for a financial boost thanks to a new program.

The Invitation Funding Initiative was introduced in an effort to attract more visitors to the province.

Up to one million dollars will be provided for the development of new festivals and events or enhancement of existing events.

Successful applicants can receive up to $25, 000.

“New Brunswick has so many stories to tell the world through our festivals and events,” said Tourism, Heritage and Culture Minister Tammy Scott-Wallace. “This funding program will energize our tourism destinations with new offerings for residents and visitors to enjoy with friends and family.”

This is part of the tourism department’s strategy to help showcase New Brunswick’s businesses, not-for-profit organizations, municipalities and First Nations.

Applications are available online.
