A 23-year-old Dartmouth man has died after the latest tragic incident at Peggy’s Cove.
Rescue crews lifted two men out of the water Monday night at the iconic tourist spot.
Police say a 26-year-old man remains in serious condition.
The men slipped on the black rocks and were swept into the ocean.
The emergency call came in after 8 p.m.

Rescue crews have pulled two men from the waters around Peggy’s Cove.
Police received the call shortly after 8 p.m. on Monday reporting the men had slipped off the rocks.
Halifax Fire, the Joint Rescue Coordination Centre, and the Canadian Coast Guard were all involved in the rescue.
Flares lit up the sky at the iconic tourist hotspot with a helicopter and boats searching the waters.
Paramedics took care of the pair, but we do not have details on their condition.

RCMP are asking citizens to stay away from the area.
The iconic tourist hot spot can be a dangerous spot for people who venture out on the slippery rocks.
An accessible wooden deck with railings recently opened but still does not prevent or block access to the lighthouse or spots closest to the ocean.
