24 organisations in the province have joined forces to say spending cuts, tax increases, or a mixture of both are not the solutions to the current economic crisis.
The coalition is called “NB Prosperity, Not Austerity”.
Johanne Perron is the Executive Director for the Coalition for Pay Equity and says the province needs to work on lowering the high unemployment rate.
Perron says New Brunswick is a resource rich province but those resources are exported elsewhere.
She says their goal is to provide information for people in the province to look at through Facebook and Twitter in the next few weeks.
