Lower Norton couple wins $1 million

Another Lotto 6/49 Gold ball winner from New Brunswick.

Bruce Rupert and Shelly Brewer of Lower Norton are the latest millionaires following the February 5th draw.

Rupert is a paramedic and Brewer works in home healthcare. They both plan to retire thanks to the big win.

“We wouldn’t believe it, we wouldn’t let ourselves believe it,” Brewer said. “When the Lottery called us back, we put the phone on speaker and we literally looked up at one another and we each had a tear in our eye. I’m super, super excited. It’s surreal right now, I can’t believe it but I can’t stop smiling. I am just so excited.”

They’re also thrilled to focus on taking care of other family members using the cash.

The couple purchased the winning ticket online at alc.ca

Lotto 6/49 draws take place every Wednesday and Saturday with two multi-million jackpots available to be won.

The classic jackpot is always set at $5 million and the Gold Ball jackpot starts at $10 million and can grow past $60 million.

The Gold Ball draw guarantees a winning ticket on every draw, with the winner taking home $1 million if a white ball is drawn or the growing Gold Ball jackpot when a gold ball is drawn.

Clarence Gallant of Shediac, New Brunswick also won $1 million in February in a Lotto 6/49 Gold ball draw.
