Amazon to cut 9,000 more jobs

Amazon is set to cut 9,000 more jobs in the next few weeks, affecting mostly PXT, AWS, Advertising and Twitch.

This is in addition to the 18,000 cut positions, announced in January.

In a memo, CEO Andy Jassy says ” given the uncertain economy in which we reside, and the uncertainty that exists in the near future, we have chosen to be more streamlined in our costs and headcount.”

The layoffs are expected to come into effect by mid to late April.
