3 evicted from Saint John home for alleged drug activity

Three adults have been removed from a west Saint John home after reports of illegal drug activity.

A community safety order was issued for the property on McCavour Drive, according to the Department of Justice and Public Safety.

Officers were at the property on Feb. 15 to ensure the conditions of the order relating to illegal drug activity were being followed.

These orders are issued by judges when evidence suggests illegal activities on a property are impacting a neighbourhood.

That could include illegal, drug activity, prostitution, child sexual abuse/exploitation, possession of illegal firearms or explosives, or organized crime.

Department officials said the property continues to be monitored by police and Justice and Public Safety officers.
