Charges have now been laid following a collision in 2022 near Rothesay.
RCMP says a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on Highway 1 in July last year.
A 52-year-old man from Summerville died at the scene as a result of injuries.
The driver of the vehicle appeared in Saint John court last month.
He is facing several charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and criminal negligence causing death
Another court appearance is scheduled for August 8th.
