3rd person dies after Moncton head-on crash

A third person has died from their injuries several days after a head-on collision on Route 15 in Moncton, according to the RCMP.

The crash happened between Harrisville Boulevard/Dieppe Boulevard and the Main Street traffic circle around 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

A 32-year-old woman driving one of the vehicles and a 43-year-old man driving the other died in the hospital from their injuries.

The two passengers in the first vehicle suffered minor injuries while the two in the second vehicle suffered serious injuries.

In an update on Saturday, police said a youth passenger from the second vehicle has since died in the hospital from their injuries.

Investigators believe the crash happened when the first car was travelling eastbound in the westbound lane and collided head-on with the second vehicle.
