40-year-old man dies in ATV crash in Midgic

A 40-year-old man from Point de Bute is dead after an ATV crash.

The RCMP says it happened around 6:40 in the morning on Friday at the intersection of Brooklyn Road and Goose Lake Road in Midgic.

Police say they believe the driver was heading south when he failed to make the turn at the intersection and hit a tree. He was the only person on the ATV and died from his injuries.

The New Brunswick coroner, the Sackville Fire Department, and Ambulance New Brunswick visited the scene in response.

A collision reconstructionist is helping with the case and they will do an autopsy to determine exactly how he died.
