Police in Rhode Island have issued an arrest warrant for a Moncton man.
The Pawtucket Police Department is trying to locate 27-year-old Derek Harley Lyons.
He is accused of scamming an 85-year-old out of around $18,000.
Police say the victim was contacted by someone claiming to be an attorney who needed money to get a relative out of jail.
A three-month investigation by Detective Austin Webb led to the identity of the alleged suspect/courier involved.
Lyons is described as 6’1”, around 210 pounds, with brown hair, blue eyes with an athletic, muscular build.
