Man arrested for armed robbery at Saint John hotel

A 46-year-old man has been arrested following an armed robbery at a Saint John hotel.

Police say it happened shortly after midnight Tuesday night in the north end.

A suspect armed with a weapon threatened staff and then fled on foot. He was arrested nearby.

The accused made a court appearance and is now behind bars. He will return to court today for a bail hearing.
