A 26-year old Miramichi man is going to jail for breaching a probation order.
Timothy Robichaud was convicted of possession of child pornography last year, and was banned from communicating with children under the age of 16.
In February of this year, an investigation by the RCMP’s Internet Child Exploitation unit showed Robichaud was talking online with an underage boy in the United States.
New charges were laid because of this latest investigation.
In April, Robichaud pleaded guilty of failing to comply with a prohibition order and a probation order.
He was sentenced last week to six months in prison.
