60-year old Allen Gordon Phillips of Scotch Ridge has been found guilty of sexual assaulting a teen who was 15 at the time back in 2014.
Judge David Walker determined Phillips was guilty after going through Facebook messages that contradicted Phillips’ claim that he was just a mentor to the young boy.
The two met up on eight separate occasions and had roughly 31 conversations on Facebook, which included Phillips agreeing to purchase a drug pipe and liquor for the boy.
Judge Walker says the Facebook messages show an older man having an inappropriate relationship with an adolescent boy.
One Facebook message sent to Phillips from the boy read “let’s be friends, no more sexual stuff”.
Judge Walker scheduled sentencing for Phillips on August 2nd.
The mandatory minimum sentence is one year.
