$600,000 For Culvert Replacement At Mispec Park

Red Head residents will notice some work near Mispec Park.

The federal and provincial governments are splitting the $600,000 cost of replacing a corrugated steel culvert at Mispec Beach with a marine grade concrete culvert.

Hampton MLA Gary Crossman joined Saint John-Rothesay MP Wayne Long for the announcement in Red Head on Wednesday.

The existing culvert is deteriorating, leaving large gaps where material from the embankment is washing into the culvert.

A temporary road has been set up in the area for residents to use when the work begins.
