73 Year Old Man Robbed In His Own Home And Rescue Along The Highway

City Police are investigating a home invasion on Sandy Point Road.

A 73 year old man was injured in the robbery of cash by three men armed with a baseball bat.

In a separate incident, an off duty Kennebecasis Regional Police officer, Constable Corey McAllister, former volunteer firefighter Shane Watson and Troy Morton came to the rescue of a driver in distress. Police say a car caught fire and crashed into a cement pillar under the overpass at the Lorneville exit.

The police officer cut the man’s seat belt with a pocket knife before the driver was pulled to safety and taken to the hospital.
