Man arrested for robbery in Saint John

A 27-year-old man is facing charges after a robbery on Lansdowne Avenue.

Saint John Police say on Monday night, a 71-year-old man was pushed to the ground while leaving a business.

During a struggle, the suspect took money from the victim’s pocket before he fled.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

On Tuesday, the suspect was spotted at a business on the west side, and he was arrested.

The man is facing charges of robbery, assault a police officer, obstruction, and fail to comply with an undertaking.
