3 storms brewing in Atlantic expected to miss Canada

Meteorologists are keeping an eye on three named storms – Kirk, Leslie and Milton.

According to the Canadian Hurricane Centre, the storms are currently in the Atlantic and “for now Canada remains outside of their area of influence.”

The forecaster says Milton is expected to track well south of our region, but they’ll provide updates if there are changes.

According to the latest National Hurricane Centre update in the U.S., Milton has rapidly intensified into a Category 4 hurricane with maximum sustained winds to 240 km/h.

Ahead of Milton’s arrival, Florida is getting drenched with heavy rain on Monday, as it still recovers from Helene.
