Man arrested after Saint john home break-in

A man is behind bars after a Saint John home was broken into.

Police received reports on Sunday of a man inside a Millidge Avenue home.

He was spotted on camera by the homeowners.

As officers approached the residence a suspect could be seen inside putting items into a bag.

The man spotted the officer and attempted to flee the scene.

A 29-year-old was arrested after a brief foot pursuit.

He was found to have several outstanding arrest warrants.

The man is now charged with breaking and entering and resisting arrest.

He remains in custody and will return to court later this week for a bail hearing on October 24.
