Thursday Morning Sports For October 22nd

Marco Estrada allowed just one hit into the 8th inning to lead the Blue Jays to a 7-1 win over Kansas City. The Royals still lead the American League Championship Series 3 games to 2 with game 6 tomorrow night in Kansas City. The Jays are expected to start David Price.

The New York Mets advancing to the World Series after an 8-3 win over the Chicago Cubs to sweep the National League Championship in 4 straight games. Daniel Murphy homered in his sixth straight playoff game and Lucas Duda also homered and drove in 5 runs.

In the NHL, Buffalo got by the Leafs in a shootout 2-1……Philadelphia rallied from two goals down midway through the third period to edge the Bruins in overtime 5-4….Edmonton over Detroit 3-1 and Carolina blanked Colorado in overtime 1-0.

John Tortorella has been named the new coach of the Columbus Blue Jackets who have lost 7 straight to start the season.

The Sea Dogs are at home tonight playing the Acadie-Bathurst Titan……Gametime is 8:00 at the Station.
