In “Q” Action

The Saint John Sea Dogs beat the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles 4-3 in overtime last night to tie the best of seven series. Joseph Veleno scored the tying goal and then won the game for the Sea Dogs in overtime. Game three is on Monday in Cape Breton.

In the NHL

The Senators beat the Bruins 6-1, the Maple Leafs lost to the Devils 5-1, the Canadiens took a 5-2 over the Lightning, the Flames edged the Wild 2-1, the Jets winning in a shoot-out over the Kings 4-3 and the Canucks also winning in a shoot-out over the Oilers 4-3.

The Bruins have been elminated from the play-off race, while the Maple Leafs have secured the best chances for the first overall draft pick after finishing in last place.

In MLB

The Red Sox doubled up on the Blue Jays 8-4.
