2016 NB Indian Summer Games Gets Financial Boost

A financial boost for the 2016 New Brunswick Indian Summer Games being held this year in Eel Ground First Nation.

The provincial government is providing $20, 000 to the event that is planned from July 26th to July 30.

About 1,000 athletes and coaches from all 15 Mi’kmaq and Maliseet communities across the province are expected to compete in many sports including archery, ball hockey, baseball, badminton, soccer and volleyball.

The games are also an opportunity to celebrate Aboriginal culture and heritage.
