Both Major Crime and the fire department investigating the cause of an early morning fire at an apartment building at 201 St. James Street West.
Police say a molotov cocktail was thrown on a stairway leading to an upstairs apartment forcing the evacuation of the building.
It was put out quickly and there were no injuries.
Police say no one is co-operating in the investigation.
