Kevin Vickers Shared His Thoughts Of Remembrance Day

A man dubbed a true Canadian hero is sharing his thoughts about his grandfather on this Remembrance Day.

Kevin Vickers of Miramichi, former House of Commons Sergeant-at-Arms and now Canada’s ambassador to Ireland, remembers the sacrifices which were made.

He says, “It always meant a great deal to me. My grandfather, Samuel Kingston, belonged to the North Shore regiment. I can always remember as a young child, he showed me a piece of shrapnel in his leg.”

A former RCMP officer, Vickers is credited with helping to take down a sniper during last year’s shootings on Parliament Hill.
