Fire crews acted fast to prevent the complete destruction of a vacant house at 72 Belleview Avenue off Spar Cove Road early this morning.
Flames could be seen coming from the back of the building. The fire was reported by a neighbour shortly before 2:30 and the cause is under investigation.
In the meantime, the Natural Resources Department has imposed a no burn order for the entire province and that includes no camp fires.
