Tuesday Morning Sports For May 5th

In the NHL playoffs, Jay Beagle scored the only goal of the game and Braden Holtby got the shut out as Washington blanks the Rangers 1-0 to take a two games to one lead in their series.

At the World Hockey Championship, Canada improves to 3 and 0 with a 6-3 win over the Czech Republic. Former Bruin sniper Tyler Seguin got the winner.

In the Majors, the Blue Jays, behind R-A Dickey, got three runs in the 8th for a 3-1 win over the Yankees……Tampa Bay beat the Red Sox 5-1. Boston left fielder Hanley Ramirez was injured in the first inning and had to leave the game with a sprained left shoulder after he ran into a padded side wall trying to make a catch.

In the NBA playoffs, the Los Angeles Clippers won the opener of their series against Houston, 117-101 as Blake Griffin scored 26 points with 13 assists and 14 rebounds…….The Chicago Bulls took their opener over Cleveland 99-92.

Manny Pacquiao, who lost to Floyd Mayweather will have to undergo surgery to repair a significant tear in his rotator cuff.
