New Brunswick Launches 5-Year Strategy To Prevent Harm For Youth

The five year strategy for the prevention of harm for children and youth in the province being launched at the annual State of the Child Breakfast.
Norman Bossé is the Child and Youth Advocate for New Brunswick, he says the strategy includes five areas of harm.
Sociocultural, neglect, physical harm, emotional harm and sexual harm.
Bossé says 102 strategic actions are associated with all five areas.
He says as an example, emotional harm could be associated with mental health support.
Bossé says the actions are taken by various groups to promote and protect child rights
The launch is part of Child Rights Education Week.
