The Department of Education and Early Childhood Development investing roughly $21.6 million over the next three years to build a new kindergarten to Grade 5 school on the West side of the city.
The new school replacing St. Patrick’s, Havelock and Seawood Schools.
The facility will feature modern amenities and technology not available at current schools.
The school being designed to accommodate about 470 students from the three schools.
Students from St. Patrick’s are relocating to Beaconsfield Middle School and Havelock School as a temporary measure.
The process for choosing a site for the new school is underway.
The department’s capital program will invest nearly $96 million to improve schools in 2015-16.
