A lightning strike in Rothesay prompted a response by KV Fire and Police.
The homeowners feared their house had caught fire after the lightning struck a dog fence at a home on Frances Avenue.
The dog fence was plugged into the garage where there was smoke and scorching but no fire. The home itself did not sustain any damage.
