The Irving Oil Refinery is going to be a lot busier. A maintenance project is underway at a total cost of $220 million dollars with 1800 people working around the clock. The project is expected to run until November and means a $200 million dollar shot to the local economy.
The purpose of the work is to strengthen the refinery’s ability to serve markets in Atlantic Canada and the US Northeast.
