Debly Resources is one step closer to expanding it’s quarry on the Ashburn Lake Road.
There was some resistance from a group called Citizens Against Urban Quarries which was represented by a lawyer at city council.
Tim Hopkins represented the group who are against the expansion, but couldn’t name any of the members.
Majid Debly is the president of Debly Resources, he says its a difficult process when you can’t put a face to anyone against the expansion
The expansion will be official once it passes it’s third and final reading
