RCMP have now arrested the prisoner who escaped while being transferred from one vehicle to another in Truro.
Colchester District RCMP say they were responding to an intrusion alarm at a business last night in Stewiacke, Nova Scotia.
When officers arrived they found there had been a break and enter and a vehicle had been stolen.
A man was later spotted walking on the road, and in an effort to escape police he ran into the woods. After a foot chase, Marc Joseph Pellerin was arrested.
