High-Speed Chase In Calais Comes To An End At Border Crossing

A quiet afternoon in Calais, Maine being disrupted by a high-speed car chase.
The driver of a light blue car with Florida plates keeping police on their toes as they chased the vehicle throughout Calais this afternoon around 1:30pm.
It’s believed police laid spike strips at the corner of South and Main Street in order to stop the driver, but it’s not known if the driver hit or avoided the spike strip.
The police chase finally coming to a stop in front of Hardwicke’s, where the man was arrested without further incident.
At the time, the Ferry Point Bridge was lined up on both sides, and the Canada/US border closed for a short time during the incident.
The border crossing are now open again, and the car was impounded by police.
