A property tax hike of one cent being recommended for the town of Rothesay as its budget comes before town council tonight for final approval. If approved, the increase would bring the town’s tax rate next year to $1.21 per 100 dollars worth of assessment.
The draft budget that was presented last week includes a 5.6 per cent increase in water and sewage fees for users.
