Friday Morning Sports For December 18th

In the NHL, Jonathon Quick made 45 saves as Los Angeles shuts out Montreal 3-0…..San Jose got by Toronto in overtime 5-4 with the winner coming on a deflection off the leg of Leaf centre Peter Holland….Corey Crawford made 33 saves in Chicago’s 4-0 win over Edmonton……..Fredericton’s Jake Allen making 27 saves as St. Louis gets by Nashville 2-1….The Rangers lost to Minnesota 5-2….Calgary upended Dallas 3-1…..Buffalo shut out Anaheim 3-0 with Chad Johnson making 41 saves….Vancouver lost to Philadelphia 2-0……Florida over New Jersey 5-1…..Colorado edged the Islanders 2-1 and it was Columbus over Arizona 7-5.

In the NFL, St. Louis downed Tampa Bay 31-23.

In the NBA, Charlotte beat the Raptors 109-99 as Jeremy Lin scored 35 points…… LeBron James tumbled into the wife of golfer Jason Day while chasing a loose ball, causing her to be taken by stretcher to a local hospital where she was checked over and released. Cleveland won the game, 104-100 over Oklahoma City and Houston downed the Los Angeles Lakers 107-87.
