NB’s Hot Spot Parking Named National Award Finalist

The results of this year’s BDC Young Entrepreneur Awards are in and the winner is… Project Bionic Boost submitted by co-founders Chris Cowper-Smith and Bob Garrish of Spring Loaded Technology in Halifax.

Among the finalists for this year’s competion was New Brunswick’s Phillip Curley , 23, from Fredericton with his company Hot Spot Parking and his “Curb Appeal” submission.

Senior Vice President for Business Development Bank of Canada, Michel Bergeron, felt Atlantic Canada out-performed the rest of the country with four finalists from the region including the winner and the runner-up.

This year’s BDC Young Entrepreneur Awards Contest saw 10 projects competing for Canada’s votes and a grand prize of $100,000 in a cash award and $25,000 dollars in consulting services.
