Delays In the Tendering Process Led To The Ferry Delay

Unreliable or zero ferry service is the norm for residents of Kingston and Grand Bay-Westfield these days.
Kings Centre Conservative MLA Bill Oliver tells us he has heard about delays in the tendering process for the Peninsula Princess ferry and once the province found a bidder they negotiated on the price.
He says everything they did seem to back the date up and Transport Canada requires a three day weather window to get the ferry across the Bay of Fundy. The work is being done in Lunenberg, Nova Scotia.
Oliver does have some good news telling a second boat is in place in Westfield and will be in place this weekend.
The Peninsula Princess is due back in service on July 6th according to the province.
